Anime MKE: The folzyfantasy15 experience

Conventions, the one thing that I wasn't really accustomed to until Reconnect in Dallas in September of 2023. After that, I was able to head to Pax East, the Midwest Gaming Classic, and to Anime Milwaukee.  I never did attend Anime MKE until 2025 when I got the chance to go on a Friday which was honestly pretty neat.  I had been to the Baird Center once before, for MGC in 2024 (I then went in 2025 again). What do I think of Anime MKE? Let's start with venue.

The Baird Center is a massive center in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.  It may not be as large as the Boston Convention Center but it is incredibly large for a city the size of Milwaukee.  It has a bunch of rooms, and is connected to the Hyatt hotel next door to it. So it helps the convention goers have a short walk and be all good overall.  For me, it was a short, 45 minute drive from my town to Milwaukee for this. Parked nearby for like 6 or so dollars and walked a half mile to the convention center.  What awaited me was..

Honestly a rather quick registration to get my badge and a friendly staff all around.  Also, a wide pavilion practically everywhere and the ability to move up and down with the escalators is a solid move.  The Baird Center has a main floor and two floors above that, so making three floors a major thing to walk around.  They also had lockers at one side of the convention center so it made it easy to pack up your things or bring things and put them in that locker and go from there.  Either way, each floor had something, whether it be a panel, an event or a artist alley that was showcased. I spent a lot of time on the artist and exhibit floor and attended a couple of panels on this day.  Overall I just wanted to see the experience of Anime MKE and have a good time overall.  It was honestly a very chill, very cool atmosphere and one that was exciting as there were so many panels, so many cool displays and a lot of fun anime cosplayers.

All in all, I know I only did one day of Anime MKE but it's one that I think a lot of people should attend at least once in their life as it is a fun atmosphere overall.  A lot of good things happen in these convention centers that have cool exhibits, the fun times will apply for anyone with the wish to go to Anime MKE.  At this point, I would have to recommend Anime MKE for everyone.  PS: I don't remember the prices I spent through the convention center for tickets and food, but I would definitely recommend getting food outside the center, but park around it as it is significantly cheaper about a half mile to mile away rather than near the center.
